Other key roles of the DTB include the representation of national interests in international tennis committees, the selection and deployment of national teams, athletic sponsorships and the management of Germany's national tournament landscape. The DTP is also committed to sports development, sports science and trainer instruction and plays a significant role in the continuous development of the official statutes, which govern the framework conditions for tennis in Germany and take into account developments at international level.
In addition to these important areas of activity, the DTB sees its main objective as the following: to increase general interest in tennis, and thus support the continued development and growth of the sport.

The latter is organizer of the EPD Tour, a Satellite Tour officially recognized by the European Tour.
As of 2012, the PGA of Germany completely reformed the training regime for the Fully Qualified PGA Golfprofessional. Vocational training for the PGA Golfprofessional still lasts three years.
