As a result of its strategic concentration on the core business of hotel management, and the simplification of business areas within Steigenberger Gastronomie GmbH, in March 2005 the group formed a partnership with Italy’s largest restaurant operator, Autogrill SpA of Rozzano near Milan, to manage its outlets at Frankfurt Airport. Steigenberger Gastronomie GmbH currently holds 50.1 percent of this partnership, Autogrill SpA 49.9.

Steigenberger has had outlets in the two terminals and at the ICE Main Line Station since 1960.
